FF trucks were built between 19 by Tri-State Metal Works in East Riverton, NJ. For example FF trucks didn't use automatic transmission nor sliding doors. They used the same Bowertown body, but were able to undercut the price of the truck by simplifying. Their serving area design seamed to be an improvement over the Mister Softee arrangement. From what I heard, Freezer Fresh trucks were created by people that had done work for Jim and Bill Conway. Freezer Fresh was the first and most successful of these copy-cats. There were many copy-cats including Tastee Freez (King Mobile Units, Chicago), Dairy Dan (Alvin "Buddy" Rothstein, Wilkes-Barre), Jolly Roger and Freezer Fresh (Tri-State Metal). Jim Conway, invented the Soft Serve Mobile unit in 1955, and founded Mister Softee Company. The original Freezer fresh trucks had the A/C unit centered in the bulkhead between the serving area and the generator compartment, similar to an apartment style "wall unit."

The second picture is a nicely preserved truck of the same vintage, save for the roof A/C unit.

The first picture appears to be a gutted 1961 Freezer Fresh truck. So far thats all I know I would like to know as much as possible and production I thinking of making a Fodd Truck and hate to think I have some thing of VERY important Histor as far as Ice Cream Trucks go

started selling soft serve and hard Ice cream in trucks BEFRORE Mister Softee I think so far the owner died in 2010 What I found out so far is a guy in Stanten Island NY. It is diferant than the Former mister softee truck but still a Ice cram truck I striped it and on it was painted a elve that holds a large soft serve cone that had Ice Cream Machine and coolers in it. A while back I got a former 1961 Mister Softee Truck and restored it same guy had another for me.
